A very serious production about a very unserious subject. This page is the front door to the game's development home — everything the team needs to get in, build, and ship, in one place.
A brand-new game for Federal Gaming, built in the Godot engine. It plays on the web first — right here at poop.federalgaming.org — and because it's Godot, the same project can travel to other platforms later without starting over. Development happens in a dedicated, self-contained account on the Federal Gaming server, set up so the game can be built and published without ever disturbing anything else.
One account, one home directory — /home/poopdev. Everything for this game lives inside it:
game/The Godot project itself — scenes, code, and the game as it grows.
assets/The art drop-off. Original artwork and source files live here before they go into the game.
builds/Finished exports and releases, kept in one tidy pile.
www/The live website. Whatever is in this folder is what this address serves — including the playable web build.
tools/The Godot engine (headless, version 4.7.2) — installed inside the account, ready to build.
HANDOFF.mdThe full brief for whoever is building: setup, workflow, and the house rules, in one file inside the account.
poopdev account with the access key (see below). No password — the key is the whole handshake.www/. The moment the files land, this site is updated. No deploy step, no ceremony.Access is granted personally by Matt, with a private setup link. The link opens a
short page with a single copy-and-paste command: run it once, and your computer holds the key
and a ready-made ssh poop shortcut. If Matt sent you that link, start there.
If he hasn't, ask him — he's the only door.
Already set up? Just run ssh poop.
This account is the whole sandbox. Everything outside /home/poopdev
belongs to other Federal Gaming services — the main website, the arcade leaderboard, the game
cabinets, all of it. Don't touch any of it: don't modify it, don't restart it, don't go
exploring in it. If something seems to require reaching outside this account, stop and ask Matt.
